About Us

About Us

Schedule Power was created because as we were writing the Backpack Series, one thing became abundantly clear. Of all the tools, techniques and tricks, both of our experiences had been that some things work for some kids, for some parents and teachers, some of the time. However, visual schedules work across the board. They worked in our classroom and our homes. The surveys at the end of Alyson’s parenting class always say that Visual Schedules were one of the most important aspects of the class. This one simple tool offers clear expectations for teachers, parents and children. Visual schedules change behavior challenges quickly and offer families, teachers and children more ease and peace throughout the day (picture it!). Wishing you joy on your journey and hoping Schedule Power offers you a tool for less stress, more flow and a little more energy to put into something you love.

Who We Are

Alyson and Brooke are the co-authors of the Backpack Series, sponsored by TACSEI, to partner teachers with parents in teaching young children social and emotional skills.   The series has been translated into three languages: English, Spanish and Chinese.
